XL Edge
A free Excel add-in, and the guides that teach it.
XL Edge puts a library of LAMBDA functions in the ribbon, then builds on it: Monte Carlo simulation from distributions to finished charts, forecasting from seasonal ARIMA to multivariate VAR, regression and statistical diagnostics, bootstrapping and portfolio optimization, and years of productivity macros. The guides below take one tool at a time through a worked example.
Free to use and free to modify, MIT licensed. Windows Excel; the LAMBDA functions need Microsoft 365 or Excel 2024.
XL Edge Guides
One tool, one worked example, every number tied to a workbook.
Each guide is a PDF and an example workbook whose numbers it quotes, so you can follow along cell by cell. The workbooks carry their own functions and calculate without XL Edge installed; they need Excel for Microsoft 365.
